Priscilla Posada Pedrin, M.A.
PSYCHOLOGICAL ASSOCIATE*
CA PSB94029285
I am a queer, bilingual (English–Spanish) clinician who was born and raised in San Diego, California. I am completing my doctorate in Clinical Psychology at Alliant University in San Diego. In addition to seeing patients at the Center for Applied Psychology & Services for two years, I completed my pre-doctoral internship at Access Institute for Psychological Services in San Francisco, a community clinic and nonprofit with a strong psychoanalytic training tradition. There, I provided long-term psychoanalytic psychotherapy to adults and adolescents from a wide range of cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds.
My work is psychodynamic at its core. I’m interested in the patterns that repeat across a person’s life, the feelings that are hard to put into words, and how early experiences echo in present relationships. I regularly work with adults experiencing anxiety, depression, grief, relationship struggles, identity questions, and life transitions. I am also trained in psychological assessment, including diagnostic, personality, and cognitive evaluations. I also conduct immigration evaluations, offering careful, trauma-informed assessments for individuals navigating the immigration process.
Access to good care matters to me, both in the therapy room and beyond it. Outside my clinical work, I’m involved with a nonprofit dedicated to serving underserved immigrant communities, and that commitment shapes how I practice. I’m especially attentive to the ways migration, culture, and belonging shape a person’s inner life. In session, I try to offer a space that is steady and unhurried; a place where it’s safe to slow down, get curious, and say the things that haven’t been said yet.
As a psychological associate, I work under the supervision of Dr. Mariela G. Shibley. Should you be interested in discussing your specific needs and goals and possibly setting up an appointment, please contact me. I look forward to speaking with you!
