Monica D. Ulibarri, Ph.D.
CLINICAL PSYCHOLOGIST
CA PSY22191
I am a bilingual (English–Spanish) licensed clinical psychologist with over two decades of experience supporting individuals, couples, groups, and families through life’s challenges. My clinical training began at Arizona State University, where I earned my Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology, and continued through an APA-accredited internship at Kaiser Permanente in San Diego and a postdoctoral fellowship at the University of California, San Diego. My practice is rooted in cultural humility, trauma-informed care, and a deep respect for each person’s lived experience.
My clinical work centers on helping people heal from trauma, including child abuse, intimate partner violence, sexual assault, and the impacts of sexual exploitation. I also specialize in supporting those facing depression, anxiety, substance use, and relationship challenges.
My theoretical orientation draws from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Strategic Solution-Focused Therapy, and Multicultural Therapy, always tailored to my clients' unique needs and cultural context. I strive to create a safe, collaborative, and empowering environment where you can explore your story, identify patterns, and practice new ways of responding to life’s stressors. I am committed to walking alongside you as you pursue healing and growth.
