PSYCHOLOGICAL ASSOCIATE*

I am a psychological associate dedicated to helping individuals better understand themselves and create meaningful, lasting change. I am currently completing my Doctor of Psychology (PsyD) in Clinical Psychology at California Southern University, where I also earned my master’s degree. My clinical training has included work in private practice, community mental health, and forensic settings, providing psychotherapy, psychological assessment, and diagnostic services.

I have experience supporting adults navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, substance use, relationship challenges, and major life transitions. My approach to therapy is grounded in a psychodynamic perspective, which focuses on understanding deeper emotional patterns, relationships, and past experiences that shape present difficulties. I aim to help clients move beyond surface-level symptom relief toward greater insight, emotional clarity, and more enduring change. I integrate this with a collaborative, supportive style so clients feel both understood and actively engaged in their growth. I completed a fellowship through the San Diego Psychoanalytic Center, where I participated in seminars and discussions focused on psychoanalytic and psychodynamic theory. This experience further deepened my interest in depth-oriented psychotherapy and working with individuals seeking a more reflective and transformative therapeutic process.

As a psychological associate, I work under the supervision of Mariela G. Shibley, PsyD. If you are interested in exploring your goals or learning more about therapy, I welcome you to reach out. I look forward to connecting with you.
