When beginning individual therapy, we typically spend the first few meetings getting to know you, understanding what's bringing you in, and determining how we can best help. This is also an opportunity for you to get a sense of your therapist and together decide if you are a good fit for each other.
Your therapist will then share recommendations for treatment, and together you will decide on the frequency of your sessions. Most people schedule at least one 45-minute session per week. Sessions are available in person and via telehealth.
