Individual Psychotherapy in San Diego, California

Are you considering psychotherapy?

The decision to begin therapy is often about more than finding the right credentials. It's about finding someone you can be real with — someone whose presence makes self-exploration feel possible.

  • Therapy can be helpful at many different points in life — not only in moments of crisis, but whenever you feel stuck, disconnected, or ready to understand yourself more deeply. You may benefit from working with us if you are experiencing:

    • Anxiety, irritability and restlessness

    • Conflicting family relationships

    • Difficulties with interpersonal relationships

    • An overwhelming and prolonged sense of sadness

    • Preoccupation with a loss or traumatic event

    • Persistent self-doubt and insecurity

    • Being easily rejected and hurt

    • Being lost in your personal and/or career path

    • Difficulties during or after a pregnancy

    • A desire for deeper self-understanding

    • Difficulty managing stress or life transitions

  • When beginning individual therapy, we typically spend the first few meetings getting to know you, understanding what's bringing you in, and determining how we can best help. This is also an opportunity for you to get a sense of your therapist and together decide if you are a good fit for each other.

Your therapist will then share recommendations for treatment, and together you will decide on the frequency of your sessions. Most people schedule at least one 45-minute session per week. Sessions are available in person and via telehealth.

We can work together collaboratively in a supportive, non-judgmental environment to increase your self awareness and improve the quality of your life.
