At Shibley Psychology, we conduct forensic evaluations for State and Federal Courts.
The purpose of a forensic assessment is distinct from that of traditional therapeutic assessment, which aims to arrive at a diagnosis and recommendations for treatment. Forensic assessments focus on a specific purpose related to a legal issue. Forensic evaluators have different training and practice guidelines, and aid fact finders in answering a psycho-legal question.
